Soldacki

The first heirloom tomato I grew more than 20 years ago and it is still one of my favorites. A large, 10-16 oz. pink beefsteak that has very tender skin which means it will crack when it rains, so you will need to pick before rain. The flavor is wonderful -complex, sweet and intense. We love to eat it fresh but also add it when making tomato sauce to add a depth of flavor. The vines are very vigorous and have a great production.
