Amish Gold Slicer

This is a cross between Amish Paste and SunGold. Two very good parents with lots of flavor. A number of tomatoes have come from this cross, including Amish Gold Slicer. Pretty, round, 3-4” golden globes with rarely any defects. Nice and firm with great flavor. Good for fresh slicing and even for canning.

Story:

I’m still doing the research on this one. It was possibly developed by Jeff Dawson of Copia fame.  Here is an interesting article about Jeff Dawson, written by his daughter and mentions Amish Gold.
